Yes, believe it or not, one day we may not have to rely on foreign countries for our oil. Apparently scientists have found that certain bugs which eat agricultural waste, excrete .................... crude oil!
It will be a while (if at all) before this can be produced in enough quantity to be of any use to the American gas-guzzling public, but if it works it will be pretty fantastic!
In the meantime, lets hope the huge price per barrel of oil can persuade industry to com up with alternative, greener forms of energy. We sure need it!
